John A. Schroer, IV (1956-2014) was a planetarium and space science educator for the Michigan Science Center in Detroit. He was also former president of the Great Lakes Planetarium Association and an avid amateur radio operator. His enthusiasm and love of astronomy opened the universe to school children and the public at large.
