The Thüringer Wald is a mountain range east of the Werra river, flowing from northwest to southeast. The summits are the Inselsberg (900 m) and the Beerberg (980 m). It is a wonderful area with beautiful forests for hikers. The main industry is creating Christmas decorations and children's toys.
