Yu, Bangtaek (1320-1402) was one of the astronomers of the Joseon Dynasty who in 1395 made the stone star chart Cheonsangyeolchabunyajido. This chart is one of the representative achievements in Korean historical astronomy. Yu, Bangtaek measured accurate positions of stars and recorded them on the star map.
