The astronomical observatory Sonnenborgh in Utrecht, founded in 1853 by Buys Ballot, specializes in the study of the sun. In 1988, when the Institute moved to a new building, Sonnenborgh became a public observatory and now houses the “Stichting De Koepel”, a school of astronomy.
Discovered on 17-10-1960 in Palomar by van Houten, C. J., van Houten-Groeneveld, I., Gehrels, T.
