Karl Julius Lohnert (1885-1944) worked from 1905 to 1907 as an assistant of Max Wolf and discovered four now-numbered minor planets. Lohnert studied psychology in Leipzig and earned his doctorate under Wilhelm Wundt, honoring his mentor by the naming of (635) Vundtia. Name proposed by L. D. Schmadel.
