Klokke Roeland (or ‘Clocke Roeland’, using the historic spelling) is the storm bell that is the symbol of the independent spirit of the city of Ghent {see planet  (9473)}. The name in fact refers to three successive bells, cast in 1314, 1660 and 1948 respectively. (M 46683) _ _.
