Lithuanian astronomer Zinaida Sviderskiene (b. 1945) worked in the field of stellar photometry and served as director of the Vilnius Planetarium during 1992-1997. Author of four books on popular astronomy and many popular science articles, she is also known as a space artist who paints astronomical subjects.
