Alessandro Pieri (1969–2000) was an amateur astronomer from childhood and was for many years a member of the Associazione Astrofili Valdinievole, an organization of amateur astronomers in northern Tuscany. He was an active meteor observer and an astrophotographer. (M 41941) _ _.
