José J. Lopez-Moreno (b. 1950), of the Instituto de Astrofisica de Andalucia, is a planetary scientist interested in planetary atmospheres. As Co-I of the Huygens Atmospheric Structure Instrument he studied the physical properties of Titan's atmosphere. The name was suggested by M. Fulchignoni and M. A. Barucci.
