Anthony Peacock (b. 1950) was project scientist for the ESA Exosat and XMM-Newton missions. A leading expert on detectors for use in high-energy astrophysics, he has also developed the S-CAM, a cryogenic camera having an ultrafast photon-counting detector, for groundbased optical astronomy.
