Ester Antonucci (b. 1945) is a solar physicist who has spent most of her career studying the sun using spacecraft. She participated in the Solar Maximum and SOHO missions and, since 2005, has been director of the Osservatorio Astronomico di Torino---the first woman to hold this position.
