Luoyang is an ancient city situated on the central plain of China and has a history of more than 4000 years. One of the Four Great Ancient Capitals of China, it was capital to thirteen dynasties. The Longmen Grottoes, Luoyang Shui Xi (Water Banquet) and Peony Exhibition are considered icons of Luoyang.
