Astronomer Boris Alexeevich Maksimachev (b. 1923) is deputy director of the Moscow planetarium. From 1954 to 1983 he delivered more than 8000 lectures. For 21 years he taught astronavigation to the cosmonauts. He is the author of hundreds of publications.
