In the Hopi Indian language oongaq means ‘from up there’, being the ablative case form of the locative stem oo- (‘up’ or ‘high’). The word can be used to donate things that come from the sky, although it is to be hoped that this particular minor planet will remain in orbit. (M 7473) _ _.
