Paul D. Maley (b. 1947) is an amateur astronomer and an expert in occultation methods to define the shapes and sizes of asteroids. He has recorded nearly 300 separate asteroidal-occultation events spanning more than four decades. He has shown a lifelong passion for promoting the detection of asteroidal satellites by occultation.
