Konjikido, the Golden Hall of Chusonji Temple in Iwate prefecture, was built in 1124 by Fujiwara Kiyohira. It is typical Heian period Amida hall architecture and covered with gold throughout. The coffins of the three successive heads of the Northern Fujiwara family who ruled the region are stored under the altars.
