Named in honor of Susan Horner Roudebush, in appreciation of her outstanding work as administrator for the Planetary Sciences division of the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, through which both the Minor Planet Center and the Oak Ridge Observatory (formerly the Agassiz Station) are also administered.
