Sándor Keszthelyi (b. 1952) is a Hungarian architect and amateur astronomer. He is interested in variable star and meteor observations, naked eye phenomena, and the history of astronomy. This minor planet was discovered on the 30th anniversary of his independent discovery of N Cyg 1975.
