Joshua Zhou (b. 1999) was awarded best of category award and first place in the 2015 Intel ISEF for his earth and environmental sciences project. He also received the Intel Foundation Cultural and Scientific Visit to China Award. He attends the East Chapel Hill High School, Chapel Hill, North Carolina, U.S.A.
