Named in honor of Daniela Lazzaro (1956– ), an expert on the dynamics of planetary satellites at the Observatório Nacional, Rio de Janeiro. She has worked on the dynamics of the β Pictoris system, and in 1993 she began working on the physical properties of minor planets and comets. Lazzaro is playing an important role in developing a researh group of planetary scientists in Brazil. (M 27458) _ _.
