Named after the god of winds, navigation and prosperity in Norse mythology. He belongs to the race of gods called the Vanir, who are often in conflict with the Aesir, and he was originally brought to Asgaard as a hostage. He is the father of Frej and Freja {see planet  (76)}. (M 22501) _ _.
