Victor Borge (1909-2000), born Borge Rosenbaum, was a Danish musician and comedian, who started his career as a classical pianist. When Denmark was occupied during World War II, Borge escaped to the USA, where he rose to fame with his ‘stand up’ acts blending piano playing and jokes.
