Czech electrical engineer and inventor František Křižík (1847-1941), constructed an arc lamp with a regulating gear in 1881 and the first electric street car in Prague in 1891. He contributed significantly in the electrification of Bohemia. The name was suggested by Z. Moravec and M. Tichy.
