Named for a small lake in Kushiro {see planet  (4096)}. The peaceful and popular park area around the lake is designated as a National Natural Monument and contains historical spots, science museums and cultural facilities. The lake is renowned for the mutated Crucian carp, Hibuna. (M 26930) _ _.
