Named in memory of Georges Brassens (1921-1981), a French poet born on the Mediterranean coast. This gruff artist with a soft heart sang of human nature through texts that were often nonconformist. Henceforth, accompanied by his faithful guitar, he will belong to the heritage of French culture. Citation provided by members of the Groupement d´Astronomie Populaire de la Région d´Antibes, translated by C. Hayter.
