Ferenc Deák (1803-1876) was a Hungarian statesman, Minister of Justice and honorary member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences whose negotiations led to the establishment of the dual monarchy of Austria-Hungary in 1867. He was known as “The Sage Of The Country”.
