Bandanomori, a 769-meter-high mountain in Suzaki city in Kochi prefecture, is well-known among climbers for its magnificent views of the Pacific Ocean. Comet C/1965 S1 (Ikeya-Seki) was observed from there as it passed perihelion on 1965 Oct. 21.
