Philip Christensen (b. 1953) is the Instrument Scientist for the OSIRIS-REx Thermal Emission Spectrometer. He is an expert on the geology of planetary surfaces. He was also the Principal Investigator for the infrared spectrometers and imagers on the Mars Global Surveyor, Mars Odyssey and Mars Exploration Rovers.
