Hyoichiro Takeno (1910-2000) and his son Setsuo Takeno (b. 1936) were both professors of Hiroshima University. The former was a theoretical physicist and contributed much on the theory of spherically symmetric space-time. The latter was an experimental mineralogist and proved the stability relations of many sulfide minerals.
