Pisces (19 February – 20 March)
This could turn out to be an intriguing month for love and relationships especially if you want to meet someone new. For starters, Venus, the love planet, is in your fellow water sign of Cancer and your romance sector until the 26th.
This is often a peak period of the year for new love or for putting the spark back into a long-term relationship or marriage. Any relationship can benefit from some date nights. The best date for love and relationships this month is the 12th when Venus in Cancer snuggles up to your co-ruler Neptune in your sign of Pisces. Make the most of this heavenly combination.
The other planet that’s connected to your relationships now is Mercury, the communication planet. Mercury is your partner planet and currently in Virgo and your relationship sector. In fact, it stays here all month which is unusual for Mercury as it’s usually a quick-moving planet.
However, Mercury will turn retrograde, i.e. reverse direction in the zodiac on the 13th and is on go slow for the following three weeks. It turns direct on September 5th. So if you want to sort things out with your other half or pay more attention to the details of a relationship, do so in the first half of the month.
Once Mercury turns retrograde, you might be spending time apart from your loved one or perhaps someone goes quiet on you. This can be a time of misunderstandings or mixed messages and often you have to play a waiting game before you know where you stand.
In addition, Venus encounters some of the slower-moving planets in challenging aspects from the 15th to the 24th. This is another indication that a relationship could hit a few bumps from mid-month onwards. Try not to rush into anything, make assumptions or make any final decision about love until next month.
Money could be one culprit when it comes to love problems. Certainly this looks like being a lively month for money matters, especially in the first week of August. There are two major reasons for this.
Firstly, the unpredictable planet Uranus turns retrograde in Aries and your personal money sector on the 3rd. Uranus switches direction at 28 Aries so it almost leaves this part of your chart but not quite. That only happens next year.
For now, you might have to put up with experiencing the unexpected when it comes to money. Uranus springs surprises, sometimes good, sometimes not so good, but it’s rarely steady and stable.
In addition, there’s another planetary aspect that could be linked to events the following day. On the 4th, your ruler Jupiter clashes with Pluto and Jupiter is currently in Libra and your joint finance sector. So another reason why money matters are under the cosmic spotlight.
This is an interesting planetary aspect because it favours letting go, cutting ties, endings. Plus it’s the third and final time that these two major planets have clashed. They met in November 2016 and again in March 2017.
So it’s worth looking closely at your investments, savings, debts, taxes, in fact any kind of joint financial dealings. What’s working out and what’s not? Is there an opportunity to write off a debt or stop a regular payment?
As a general rule of thumb, this isn’t a good time to speculate or throw good money after bad. Notice too who you can trust around money and who you can’t. These ties suggest that money and emotions are closely linked now which is rarely easy. Look after your own finances and steer clear of anything underhand or illegal.
A change in finances might also be linked to the eclipses taking place this month because work is also a factor. The Sun is in Leo and your work and health sectors until the 22nd and this is where you find action planet Mars.
Eclipses often spell sudden changes of fortune and here too there’s an unsettled picture. The first eclipse is a Lunar or Full Moon eclipse on the 7th which cuts across the Leo/Aquarius axis of the zodiac.
Sometimes during a Lunar Eclipse one person wins but another person loses. At work, try and take advantage of a change of personnel or ensure you’re on the winning team.
The second eclipse is a Solar or New Moon Eclipse and this is more powerful for you. It takes place in Leo and the Sun is closely aligned with Uranus in Aries and your personal money sector. So perhaps the changes this month turn out for the best at work or perhaps you find the inner confidence or belief you need to kickstart a healthier lifestyle.
There is a second major Jupiter aspect at the end of August and this feels more supportive or helpful for you. Jupiter in Libra teams up in a strong planetary aspect with Saturn in Sagittarius and your career sector on the 27th. This could be the solution to problems earlier in the month.
Together with the Solar Eclipse, it feels like starting afresh, being able to make a new commitment that builds on strong foundations moving forward.
By no means is this a straightforward or easy month to navigate but do put yourself first. Being the sacrificial lamb won’t do you any favours now and other people won’t always play fair. Play your cards right however and you could end up in a stronger position at the end of the month than at the beginning.
