The work of French poet Jean de La Ville de Mirmont (1864-1914) evoked images of unreachable horizons and bitterness. His poetic opera L´Horizon Chimérique (“Fanciful Horizon”) inspired the music of Gabriel Fauré. The name was suggested by R. and A. Soubie.
