Pieter Timotheus (Tim) de Zeeuw (b. 1956) is currently director of Leiden Observatory and of the Netherlands Research School for Astronomy (NOVA). He has made substantial contributions to galaxy dynamics and has been awarded an honorary doctorate by the Claude Bernard University of Lyon.
