Svyatylivka, a small village on the banks of the Dnieper and Sula rivers, has been known since the seventeenth century as one of the headquarters of the Cossack army. The Cossack fighters were blessed in an ancient church in Svyatylivka before they went out to defeat the invaders of their land.
