Gale D. Gant (b. 1936) helped organize the Palomar Observatory's 1.2-m Schmidt Oschin Telescope plate archive. Active in a leadership role in the Mt. Wilson Observatory Association, he has also made significant contributions to the Mt. Wilson Observatory in California.
