Kanazawa, also known as “Little Kyoto”, is located almost at the center of Ishikawa prefecture. In the Edo era, the city prospered as a castle town of the Kaga Domain and was known as “Kaga one million koku”, the highest unit of controlling power among the feudal lords in the Edo era.
