Czech film-maker and illustrator Zdeněk Miler (b. 1921), known for his cartoons and books for children, is particularly famous for his amiable cartoon character Krtek (Little Mole). The first episode, How the Mole Got His Trousers, of 49 Mole stories was produced in 1956.
