Roberto Battiston (b. 1956) is an Italian experimental physicist specializing in detectors and technologies for fundamental, elementary and astroparticle physics. He holds the Chair of Experimental Physics at the University of Trento, and since 2014 has been President of the Italian Space Agency ASI.
