Ján Svoreň (1949– ) is an astronomer at the Astronomical Institute of the Slovak Academy of Sciences, Tatranská Lomnica. He has worked on physical properties of comets and compiled a catalogue of the magnitudes of the long-period comets observed during 1861–1957. (M 44186) _ _.
