Gino Loria (1862–1954) was a professor of higher geometry at the University of Genoa. He wrote two treatises on plane and space curves, but his main interest was the history of mathematics from antiquity to his own time. He wrote biographies of Archimedes, Newton, {see planets (3600) and (8000), respectively} Cremona and Beltrami {see planet (15620)}. (M 44595) _ _.
