Named in honor of Tatsuo Yamada (1923– ), who is a Japanese observer and researcher of variable stars. Yamada was the director of the variable star section of the Oriental Astronomical Association (O.A.A.), and he is devoted to the diffusion of astronomical knowledge. Yamada has continued to hold monthly meetings of the Nagoya branch of the O.A.A. since 1954. (M 20158) _ _.
