Named in honor of Dirk Frimout, the first Belgian astronaut. On 1992 Mar. 24 he went into orbit with his American colleagues on board of the space shuttle Atlantis. He is a member of BIRA, the Belgian Institute of Space Aeronomy at Uccle. The main purpose of this flight was the study of the ozone layer. (M 20164) _ _.
