Celia Cruz (1925-2003) was a Cuban-American salsa singer and performer, whose career spanned 7 decades, and was renowned internationally as the “Queen of Salsa”. She earned 23 gold albums, 7 Grammy Awards, and was a recipient of the USA's National Medal of Arts. She also starred in 13 movies and documentaries.
