Kent Honeycutt (b. 1940), on the faculty of Indiana University, has made fundamental contributions to our understanding of the structure of accretion disks, cataclysmic variables and cool stars, as well as to the design and construction of innovative instrumentation, including spectrographs and robotic observatories.
