Named in honor of Mary L. Roth (b. 1935), executive assistant to the organizing committee of the “Asteroids, Comets, Meteors” meeting held at Cornell University in July 1999. Roth has been a diligent contributor to the Cornell space effort for the past 25 years, encompassing missions such as Viking, Voyager, Galileo, NEAR and CONTOUR. Name suggested by B. E.
