Named for a beautiful sandy beach between Ben-tengahama {see planet  (5293)} and Shiundai, in the southern part of the city of Kushiro {see planet  (4096)}. A new port is under construction, and the beach is gradually disappearing as a result of erosion. (M 26930) _ _.
