Named in honor of Bob Lupo. Wearing a black hat and a genial smile, Lupo typifies the Western cowboy of today’s imagination. Born in Boston, he sought his fortune in the West, becoming a registered farrier and at one time taking part in team roping in Colorado. Today he ownes and manages a fine Western-style eatery, Horsemen Lodge and Restaurant, in Flagstaff, Arizona, where he has served outstanding seafood (a heritage from Boston), steaks and barbecue to the many renowned visiting scientists and others who have entered his doors.
