Named in honor of George Eades, currently celebrating his fiftieth year of membership in the British Astronomical Association. A structural engineer by profession, Eades constructed two 15-cm reflecting telescopes, including the mirrors and eyepiece lenses. An expert microscopist, he also constructed a high-power binocular microscope, including all the optics except for the objective lenses. Eades was of great help to the discoverer many years ago by introducing him to the BAA and scientific literature that led eventually to an interest in astrometry and the discovery of
(6191) and other minor planets. (M 25445) _ _.
