G. Jeffrey Taylor (b. 1944) is a professor of planetary science at the University of Hawaii. His merging of data on lunar and meteorite petrology with remotely-sensed data from planetary missions has unlocked vital clues to the earliest evolution of planetary bodies, particularly the moon.
