Named for Noriyosi Furiya (1838-1914), a pioneer Japanese winegrower, and his great-grandson Tosihiko (Tosi) Tukamoto (b. 1931). Tosi introduced a sake-brewing technique of low-temperature fermentation to the winemaking world.
