Named in honor of Johan S. V. Lagerros (1968– ) to celebrate the completion of his Ph.D. thesis titled “Thermal Physics of Asteroids”. In a series of papers, he extended and improved the Standard Thermal Model of minor planets. As a result, his model was used for the official calibration of ISO data.
